This Is Why The Narcissist Wants To Destroy YOU

Updated: 25 minutes ago

Narcissists want to destroy you. They aim to put an end to your existence, to ruin and defeat you. This is something all narcissists do—it’s their mission, their ultimate goal. To achieve this, their first step is to **steal**—to secretly take things that don’t belong to them. These could be your possessions, your qualities, or even your essence.

They don’t just take material things like money or belongings, although they might. They also seek to take what’s inside you—your mind, body, and soul. They want to possess your character, your disposition, your faith, hope, belief, and joy. They aim to take everything that makes you who you are.

It all begins with **mirroring**. They imitate and adopt your ideas, behaviours, and preferences. They might say the same words you say or like the same things you like. By imitating you, they are constructing a version of you within themselves. Narcissists are empty vessels, envious and jealous of others. They lack imagination or original ideas, so they leech off others, draining their energy and taking their qualities.

By mirroring you, they are already stealing from you. While you may think you’re sharing something with them in a mutually beneficial way, they are, in fact, taking something that doesn’t belong to them. They will continue to take until they feel they’ve filled the void within themselves. Once they feel whole, their next objective is to **kill** you—not physically, but psychologically.

As long as you exist, you are a threat to them. Your presence reminds them of what they’ve stolen from you. To eliminate this threat, they seek to devalue and degrade you. They insult and neglect you, using their understanding of your inner workings to hurt you. They aim to kill your spirit while keeping the parts of you they’ve absorbed intact.

This is why they belittle you, criticise you, and make you feel insignificant. They want to diminish your presence, your unique qualities, and your influence. By doing so, they can take the spotlight for themselves, using what they’ve stolen from you to shine.

Once they’ve stolen from you and killed your spirit, their final objective is to **destroy** your reputation and connections. They will target what you care about most—your relationships, your career, your achievements. They will spread lies about you, befriend those close to you, and try to turn them against you. They may even attempt to get you fired from your job. Their goal is to erase every trace of who you once were.

It’s not enough for them to kill your spirit; they want to eliminate your influence on others. They want to ensure that no one remembers the person you were. By destroying your connections, they can fully take over your identity and become the only version of you that exists.

Narcissists want everything you have—your qualities, your relationships, your life. They see you as a competitor, even if you no longer wish to be involved with them. As long as you have your job, your friends, or your family, you remain a threat to their goal of becoming the new you. This is why they steal, kill, and destroy.
