5 Reasons Why The Narcissist CAN'T STAND YOU

ree

Every relationship has its problems, and sometimes we all have arguments and disagreements. However, narcissists take it a step too far. They cross the line of what is acceptable and end up becoming your enemy. They do whatever they possibly can to hurt you because they are self-absorbed, lack empathy, and enjoy seeing you suffer. Here are several reasons why they can't stand you:

1. You're More Successful

You may have gotten a promotion at work or maybe your business is doing well. The narcissist will not congratulate you because they hate your success. They feel threatened by it and believe you are taking the spotlight away from them. To make themselves feel better, they will try to make you feel inferior by criticizing your success because they are very insecure.

2. You Expose Them

If you have exposed the narcissist, they will feel insecure. To regain their control, they will put you down because it makes them feel better about themselves. They want to win back their approval and admiration.

3. You Realize You Don't Need Them

The narcissist needs you to need them. They can't let you be happy without them because seeing that makes them feel unimportant, which will make them turn against you. This is how you reverse the effects of their silent treatment or ghosting. They want you to feel down without them because it gives them supply. But when you're happy without them, they feel irrelevant.

4. They're Jealous

They can't stand you because they're jealous. You will know when they're jealous because they will try to make you jealous of them. They do this because they are very insecure and are trying to get your attention.

5. You Said No

The narcissist wants you to do what they desire, despite how it may affect you. If you say no to a narcissist, they will get mad and begin to see you as their enemy.

If a narcissist can’t stand you, take it as proof you’re doing something right. You’re showing strength, independence, and real self-worth — all the things they can’t control.
